If you haven’t heard of Gary Bordman or the team at Amusement, Exhibit & Event Services (AE&ES for short), then you may be new to the Las Vegas event industry. 

Gary’s time in the industry started in 1999, where he spent 15 years gathering experience, gaining knowledge, and building relationships before starting AE&ES in 2014. 

AE&ES was just certified in December of 2022 as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, as Gary is a 100% disabled veteran and Lori, our CFO, is a 40% Disabled Veteran. This seal will make a big difference in how we can do business!

These Roller Coasters have rides from around the world, from a traditional roller coaster to a rover on the moon! Have a custom vision? Guests sit in our full-motion chairs where they experience the ride of their lives, traveling along these unique experiences without ever having to worry about the wind in their hair!

If roller coasters aren’t your thing, and you’re looking for a different type of thrill seeking VR experience, our racing options may be the perfect fit for you! Our F1 racing simulator is a pair of static racing simulators, with molded fiberglass bodies of a Formula One racing car! The cockpit has a professional Racing Wheel and Pedals with Force Feedback in them and a subwoofer under the seat for added vibrations and realism. Once you put that headset on, you’ll get the adrenaline rush of a lifetime as you satisfy your need for speed! The Software and bodies can be fully customized with your clients brand as well. 

If your guests don’t want an adrenaline rush, but would rather have a gentle initial experience with Virtual Reality, our mixed reality VR experience and games, like Beatsaber are perfect for the guests that are new to virtual reality! These games are more approachable for those that haven’t yet experienced virtual reality games, and are looking to see if they enjoy the experience.

Photo Booth Or A Photo Op? The Difference Is Explained!

     In today’s thriving event industry, photo-driven activations are considered a supreme accessory to any event. With AE&ES having such a large variety of photo activations, we often get asked what’s the difference between a “Photo Op” and a “Photo Booth”. Let’s take a moment to explain.

Traditionally a “Photo Op” is when a photo opportunity takes place with a famous person or in front of a notable item or location. The photo is typically captured by a professional photographer or captured by the participants themselves with their own cameras or phones in a self-lead activation. Printed and/or digitally shared images can be offered, but it isn’t what defines it as a photo op.

When people think of a “Photo Booth”, however, they envision participants having their photo taken against a fun backdrop with fun props and hats that typically results in either a printed or digitally shared image as a takeaway.

Are there any other ways to provide the final image to the guest other than a printed or digital image?

YES! Although many clients enjoy handing a simple print of the final image to their guests to proudly display desks, fridges, and mantles all over the world, there are so many other options for output like On a T-shirt, in a Viewfinder, On a product label and more! OK, Photobooths are fun, but, don’t you think that standing in front of a backdrop with a funny hat on has been done before?

If providing a traditional Photo Booth is your objective, then great, we have you covered! But did you know that Photo Booths are so much more than a printed photo strip with a logo on it? In today’s thriving Photo Driven Rental industry, there are so many different ways to capture an image! From Gifs. Animations, Videos, Green Screens. 360 Degree Bullet Array, Boomerang gifs. How can I use a Photo Driven activation as a promotional activation?

Clients who are launching new products or need to increase brand exposure often turn to a photo-driven activation to promote achieve their goal. Photo Booth Fun doesn’t have to stay in the booth!

With Hashtag printing, Live Feeds and Social Sharing, the experience can be extended outside the booth. There are also a variety of roaming or “floating” booths that take the booth to the dance or showroom floor! This option allows more people to participate with a larger audience reach.

Photobooths allows inclusion for everyone can participate!

Nothing is more discouraging like attending an event where the activities provided are outside your ability. With a large number of event demographics having some sort of limitation to participate in activities being offered it sometimes it can be quite difficult to provide an activity for everyone in attendance to join in the fun. A photo activation is a perfect choice to eliminate this fear of excluding anyone because with any ability can participate in most photo-driven activations. It is a perfect way to satisfy the need for inclusion with little effort while also providing a fun and memorable experience to all!

Why would you have a photo-driven activation if you have already hired a professional photographer? Should I choose either/ or?

A photo activation can complement a traditional professional photographer. It’ hard to capture the faces of everyone who attend your event. Photobooths are a second way to get those important photos of guests that you may not otherwise get fro our event. It also allows people to have a little fun with the photos whereas a professional photographer typically gets group shots and a few candids.

None of your staff will be needed!

We provide technicians and photographers for many of our photo ops and activations. Having our staff dedicated to performing the functions of the photo activation allows time for your staff to engage with event attendees; making this a great traffic builder and engagement opportunity!
